⚠️ Job Search Advisory
Scammers are sending fake recruiter emails and linking to fake job pages that look like they belong to well-known companies in order to steal Gmail sign-in details. This scam is aimed at people looking for work and is designed to look convincing enough to make them trust the message.
Who is at risk
Job seekers, especially people applying to roles through email or following links to supposed company career pages, are most at risk.
What to watch for
Watch for unexpected job emails, links to career pages that ask you to sign in right away, poor contact details, or messages that create urgency to apply or respond quickly.
What to do
Do not sign in through links in recruiter emails; instead go directly to the company’s official website yourself, and if you already entered your Gmail password on a suspicious page, change it immediately and turn on two-step verification.
