Twitch has started using creators’ live streams and uploaded videos by default to help train Amazon’s artificial intelligence systems unless creators change their settings. This means content shared on Twitch may now be used in new ways that some streamers did not expect.
Who is at risk
Twitch streamers, content creators, and anyone who appears, speaks, or shares original work in Twitch broadcasts is most at risk.
What to watch for
Watch for changes in Twitch account settings, policy updates, or signs that your videos, voice, image, or creative work may be included in data-sharing or training programs by default.
What to do
Review your Twitch privacy and content settings immediately, turn off any options that allow your content to be used for training if available, and limit what personal or sensitive material appears in future streams.
