Get MERENA on your devices

One account everywhere: sign in with the same email and password, and your profile, alerts and plan come with you. We’ve put the steps for the device you’re on first.

MERENA browser extension

For Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Brave on a computer. Check any link or image with a right-click, ask MERENA about what you’re reading, and, with MERENA+, let Account Finder spot the accounts you use as you browse.

  1. 1Click Open the Chrome Web Store below. MERENA’s page opens in a new tab.
  2. 2Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension in the box that appears. The box lists what the extension can access; our Privacy Policy explains what each is for.
  3. 3Keep it handy: click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar, then the pin next to MERENA.
  4. 4Click the MERENA icon in your toolbar to open the side panel, choose Already have a MERENA account? Sign in (or Sign in to MERENA further down), and use the same email and password as this site.
  5. 5Right-click a link and choose Check this link with Merena, or right-click a picture and choose Check this image with Merena.
  6. 6Highlight text on any page, right-click it, and choose Ask Merena about this.

Already added it? Come back to this tab and it’ll be recognized (reload if not). To remove it later, right-click the MERENA icon and choose Remove from Chrome.

MERENA for Android

Free on Google Play. Check scams, breaches and passwords, see your alerts, and chat with MERENA. MERENA+ members also get Private Scan, which finds your accounts from an email export without connecting your mailbox.

  1. 1Click Open Google Play below and sign in with the Google account your Android phone uses.
  2. 2Click Install, choose your phone from the list, and click Install again. It downloads to your phone over the internet within a few minutes.
  3. 3No phone in the list, or prefer to do it on the phone? Open the Play Store app and search for MERENA: Personal Cyber Advisor.
  4. 4Open MERENA and sign in with the same email and password, or phone number, that you use here. Your profile, alerts and plan come with you.

iPhone and iPad

There’s no App Store app yet. Add MERENA to your Home Screen and it opens like one, signed in to the same account.

There’s no MERENA app for iPhone or iPad yet. You can put MERENA on your Home Screen instead, and it opens like an app:

  1. 1In Safari, tap the Share button (bottom of the screen: a square with an arrow pointing up).
  2. 2Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  3. 3Tap the MERENA icon on your Home Screen and sign in.
